Spitz information

HISTORY:

The original name that represents this breed was "Dwarf Spitz / Pomeranian" or "German Dwarf Spitz" which over time, however, was changed to "Pomeranian" in common jargon.Today it is defined as a companion dog and it is allowed to have it exhibited at beauty contests, events etc.The social status of this breed is quite high since in the early 1800s this breed spread to the homes of many artists (such as Michelangelo, Mozart, etc.) and noble families. It is mostly bred in Europe and America, although it is found anywhere in the world. This breed descends from the Large Spitz which developed thanks to the spread of its ancestor in Europe, Asia and America in prehistoric times. This information is based on the discovery of bones and cave paintings.Queen Victoria fascinated by this breed decided to make it even smaller and more pleasant, so she founded a special kennel in which the best breeds were selected in Pomerania. He subsequently mated a Spitz with a Volpino Italiano creating the so-called "Volpino di Pomerania".Thanks to his intelligence he has also been one of the main attractions of the circus in the past years. Later he became a show dog for his elegance and beauty.

The constant in the  MAINTENANCE OF THE BEAUTY AND CARE OF THE DOG  can be handled quite easily, especially to consider if you want to have your dog compete in beauty contests. Brush the dog to keep the coat clean and shiny, thus loosening any knots. The use of a dry shampoo is more effective and recommended with the possible presence of a pesticide in the spring and / or autumn months. The nails should be periodically shortened to prevent them from curling. The daily walk is highly recommended to avoid obesity and keep the joints trained.Cleaning the teeth from tartar is a task that should usually be entrusted to the veterinarian, while tracheal collapse, renal failure and baldness are problems that can be found in very adult age. therefore it is good to provide for frequent checks.
